Venice International Film Festival 2025
The 82nd Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera, takes place at the Lido of Venice from August 27 to September 6, 2025. Officially accredited by FIAPF – the International Federation of Film Producers Associations – the festival is one of the most prestigious events on the global stage.

The Festival aims to promote international cinema in all its forms, from art to entertainment to industry, fostering an atmosphere of freedom and dialogue. Special attention is also dedicated to the restoration of great classics, enhancing the historical heritage of the seventh art and offering contemporary audiences a renewed perspective.
The Festival presents a rich lineup featuring up to 21 feature films in Competition, premiering worldwide, alongside sections such as Out of Competition, Orizzonti, Venice Spotlight, Venice Classics, and Venice Immersive .
Among the standout titles are La grazia by Paolo Sorrentino (opening film), The Wizard of the Kremlin by Olivier Assayas, Jay Kelly by Noah Baumbach, Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro, Father Mother Sister Brother by Jim Jarmusch, and others including À pied d’œuvre by Valérie Donzelli.
